Today I’m bringing you a comparison review of the Daytona 126518 with the Turquoise dial. This has probably been one of the hottest Daytona models this year. There are quite a few factories producing this watch, including VS, BT, CBD, QF, and others.
To be honest, the replica watch industry has advanced a lot over the years. The differences between factories on certain models are no longer as dramatic as many reviewers claim. It’s not really true that one factory has an absolute advantage on every specific model. The comparison below is based on the CBD and VS versions.
In the photo below, the watch on the left is from CBD, while the one on the right is from VS. The difference in dial color is still quite noticeable – the left one has a darker tone. It’s impossible to say which one is closer to the genuine piece, because I don’t own the authentic watch myself.
A lot of reviewers like to compare replicas with photos of the genuine watch found online. If the dial colors look similar, they immediately conclude that the replica is “exactly the same as the genuine.” In my opinion, this is the wrong way to do comparisons. Most online photos are heavily edited, and even unboxing pictures uploaded by other people are taken under completely different lighting conditions. Comparing watches this way is inaccurate and basically meaningless.
