Compared with Rolex, the progress of replica watchmaking is even more evident when you look at Audemars Piguet. It is not just a simple piece of stainless steel, like 15400, the AP 15500 also features an integrated stainless steel bracelet, on a super clone 15500, the bracelet is seamlessly integrated into the case, making them look as if they are one piece, the bracelet gradually narrows from the case down to the clasp. While on early fake 15500, the entire bracelet has the same width from case to the clasp, the end link is not flexible.

Third, the Grande Tapisserie on the dial. A super clone features delicate engraved patterns on each small grid like pyramid-shaped cones, all of these grids create a dial that has a deep three-dimensional effect. When you swing the watch, the dial shimmers, which is very beautiful. This light effect is more obvious on the AP 15500 with white dial.

Last time, I want to explain another factor that makes AP 15500 become a super clone, it is the movement. In early stage, all AP 15500 replicas were equipped with the movement based on a Japanese Miyota 9015, it makes the entire watch too thick, which is about 12mm, while the genuine watch is about 10.4mm. Nowadays, the 15500 uses a super clone 4302 movement, it makes the watch case to be exactly the same as that of the genuine.

Later, a more high-end free-sprung 4302 movement is adopted.

Based on the super clone 4302 movement introduced by some factory in 2025, the factory improved is in 2026, canceled the regulator that was supposed to be used to adjust the inaccuracy of the movement, that regulator was on top of the balance wheel before, now it was removed. At the same time, the factory also added weights on the balance wheel, so the users can adjust the movement accuracy by adjusting these weights now. This is a big improvement on AP replicas. Also, many free-sprung movements are being used on super clone watches such as Rolex Daytona, GMT-Master, Datejust and Richard Mille.
