What is Super Clone Movement
“Super Clone Movement” refers to a high-fidelity mechanical movement created through reverse engineering, using the structure, dimensions, functions, and appearance of an original movement as a blueprint. These movements not only closely replicate the original in size and functional layout but also imitate the plates structure, engravings on the rotor, jewel positions, and adjustment methods, making them compatible with many original parts. Compared to traditional clone movements, super clone movements offer significant improvements in appearance accuracy, stability, and functional integrity, making them one of the core technologies that have ushered in the “super clone era” in the replica watch industry.
Rolex Super Clone Movements
In the replica watch industry, Rolex is the brand that uses super clone movements the most. The main ones include 3135, 3235, 3285, 4130, 4131, and 3255, covering almost the entire Rolex lineup.

3135
Before 2019, most Rolex Submariner replicas on the market used Chinese 2813, 2824, and 2836 movements. These movements were cheap and reliable, but they were too thick, and their date-setting and adjustment methods were different from the genuine movement. In 2019, the super clone 3135 movement appeared. It was rebuilt based on the architecture of the genuine movement, featured a Teflon-coated red reversing wheel, had near-genuine instant date change performance, and offered much better stability compared to earlier 3135 versions.


3235
This is probably the most iconic and influential movement in the world of super clone Rolex watches. It was introduced around 2020 and is mainly used in Datejust models, 12xxxx series Submariners, Yacht-Master, and Sea-Dweller models. Its biggest highlight is the extended power reserve, reaching around 72 hours.

3285
This movement appeared in 2021 and became widely used in 2022 for Rolex GMT models such as the Batman GMT and Pepsi GMT. It features true GMT functionality, correct hand stack configuration, and around 70 hours of power reserve.


4130
This movement became widely adopted in Rolex Daytona replicas around 2018. It pushed super clone watches into the era of complex functions. Its biggest advantage is reliability. Previously, I was hesitant to recommend Daytona replicas because the older 7750 movements were prone to failure. But after the arrival of the super clone 4130 era, Daytona became one of the best-selling Rolex replicas.

4131
This movement was introduced in 2024 and quickly became widely used in the new-generation Daytona replicas. It is not simply a renamed or re-engraved 4130. Instead, it features upgraded architecture and aesthetics specifically designed for the new Daytona generation. Its skeletonized rotor and updated bridge finishing more closely resemble the genuine Rolex 4131 movement. The power reserve ranges between 60–70 hours.

3255
The first true super clone 3255 movement only appeared in 2025. Before that, most so-called 3255 movements on the market were modified versions based on the 3135 architecture. This new 3255 follows the architecture of the genuine movement more closely, integrates the day and date mechanisms into one system, and addresses the calendar-jamming issues commonly seen in earlier Day-Date replicas.
Audemars Piguet Super Clone Movements
Just like Rolex super clone movements, the emergence of Audemars Piguet super clone movements is driven by the growing demand from consumers for higher watch quality standards. Today, the main movements on the market include the 3120, 4302, and 4401.

3120
This movement began to be widely installed in Audemars Piguet 15400 in the second half of 2021, allowing the watch to achieve a thickness that is very close to the genuine piece. It offers an impressive exhibition through the display caseback, with the correct balance wheel position. This is considered the first true super clone movement in the Audemars Piguet replica world.

4302
By 2024, this movement had matured and was widely installed in the Audemars Piguet 15500. Earlier versions used modified “plate-based” movements, which resulted in a thicker case. The introduction of the 4302 movement reduced the case thickness to approximately 10.3mm. It features a more realistic gear train layout and mainspring system, solving the issue of loose or unstable plates commonly found in earlier 9015-based modifications.

4401
Following the 4130 movement, this is another milestone in the industry for bringing complex chronograph functionality into high-grade replicas. The 4401 movement is used in Audemars Piguet 26240 and is the first clone movement in the industry to feature a flyback chronograph function.
IWC Super Clone Movements
There are mainly three super clone movements used in IWC super clone watches: the 52010 used in the Portuguese 7 Days Power Reserve, the 69355 used in the Portuguese Chronograph, and the 69385 used in Pilot’s Chronographs.

52010
This is probably one of the earliest semi-integrated clone movements in the replica market – even earlier than the clone 3135 and 4130 in my memory. It is used in the Portuguese 7 Days. After this movement was introduced, the dial proportions finally opened up, almost like the watch’s face had stretched into the correct shape, and the subdial positions became much more accurate.

69355
This movement only entered the replica market in 2025 and was first introduced in the newer Portuguese Chronograph models. Before its arrival, almost every replica Portuguese Chronograph on the market relied on the Asian 7750 movement, which was thick and offered average reliability. After the release of the super clone 69355 movement, replica Portuguese Chronographs could finally match the genuine watch’s thickness.

69385
Similar to the 69355, the 69385 movement also appeared in the replica market in 2025 and started seeing large-scale use in replica IWC Pilot’s Chronographs during the second half of the year. Before this movement existed, almost all high-end replica Pilot’s Chronographs had their running seconds positioned at 9 o’clock. After the introduction of this super clone movement, the running seconds finally returned to the correct 6 o’clock position, matching the genuine watch. This movement also provides around 48 hours of power reserve, proper chronograph functionality, and fully working day-date functions.
Omega Super Clone Movements
There are not many super clone movements used in replica Omega watches – mainly two: the 8900 and the 8800. However, quite a few variants are derived from them. For example, the 8806 is essentially just a modified version with different engravings on the movement plates.

8900
This movement was developed in 2019 and became widely used in 2020. The super clone 8900 is mainly found in models such as the Seamaster 150M, Constellation, and Planet Ocean.
Before this movement appeared, most replica Omega watches relied on modified 2824 or 9015 movements with decorative plates added on top. The 8900 movement has two major highlights: its twin-barrel design, which allows for around 55-60 hours of power reserve, and its jumping hour hand adjustment system, which changes the date in the same way as the genuine watch.

8800
This movement appeared in 2025 and is mainly used in replica Omega Seamaster 300 watches.
Before the 8800 was introduced, manufacturers mostly relied on Sea-Gull 2824 movements with decorative plates added. The release of this movement allowed replica Seamaster 300m to finally match the genuine watch’s thickness more closely, while the time and date setting functions also operate much more like the genuine version. by the way, the Sea-Gull 2824 is also a very solid and good movement.
Panerai Super Clone Movements
Super clone movements in replica Panerai watches are not as diverse as those found in Rolex, Omega, or IWC replicas, but there are still several noteworthy options. Strictly speaking, the most mature and widely recognized movements currently are mainly concentrated around the P9000 family.

P.9000
This is the most famous super clone movement in Panerai replicas. It appeared on the market quite early, around 2015, and was widely used. It came before the Omega and IWC clone movements, and even earlier than some Rolex clones. The P.9000 movement is fitted in most 44mm Luminor Panerai models and some 47mm Submersible versions, such as the PAM 960 and PAM 382.

P.9010
This movement can be considered a derivative of the P.9000. It started being used in Panerai replicas around 2019. Compared to the P.9000, it has been upgraded with revised thickness, an improved regulation mechanism, and updated plate layout. It is slightly thinner than the P.9000, and the hour hand can be adjusted independently. The most classic example is the PAM 1312, which uses the P.9010 movement.
Patek Philippe Super Clone Movements
In Patek Philippe replicas, super clone movements are relatively rare. The most famous are probably the 324 and 330, especially the 324, which has kept the Patek Nautilus and Aquanaut very popular in the replica watches market for many years.

324
This was the first Patek Philippe super clone movement, developed in 2018 and widely applied from 2019 in the Nautilus 5711 and Aquanaut 5167 models. It is the most famous movement in Patek Philippe replicas. Before the 324, most Nautilus replicas used a Japanese 9015 movement with added plates, which caused a noisy rotor and a thicker watch. After the 324 was introduced, the Nautilus replicas finally achieved the same thickness as the original, around 8.2-8.3 mm.

330
The 330 movements currently on the market are basically modified versions of the 324, with changed engravings and rotor shape. However, the true 330 clone movement is about to be released, and unlike the 324, it will feature hacking seconds (stop-seconds).

240
This movement is mainly used in the Nautilus 5712 Moonphase. After several improvements, the engravings on the movement became deeper, and it also gained a true power reserve function.
Richard Mille Super Clone Movements
The super clone movements of Richard Mille are quite complex in the market. First, many factories produce high-end Richard Mille replicas, and the quality of their movements varies greatly. Even within the same factory, there are multiple versions of the movement, which can easily confuse consumers. Here, I will introduce three movements: RMUL3, RMAL1, and RMUL2.
RMUL3
This movement is mainly used in the RM35-01. From the front sapphire crystal, you can see the skeletonized structure, which is very similar to the genuine movement. After improvements, the gears in this movement are fully functional.

RMAL1
This movement is mainly used in the RM35-02. Unlike the RM35-01, the RM35-02 features a transparent case back. The movement comes in both with regulator and free-sprung versions.

RMUL2
This movement is mainly used in the RM055. It also has a free-sprung version. The skeleton bridges are finished similarly to the original, and it is a manual-winding movement.
