About this blue Nautilus 5711 – it’s a very popular model, just as hyped as Rolex. There are now many factories producing it. As far as I remember, the earliest factory to make a replica of the Nautilus 5711 was BP, an established factory that released this model about ten years ago. However, their auto rotor was too noisy. Later, PPF came along, updated the dial color, and many people started buying theirs. Then came 3K, which introduced a super clone 324 movement for this Nautilus. In the last two years, as the 324 super clone movement became more widely available, new factories like BBF and DDF have appeared. Today, I’ll compare 3K, BBF, and DDF.
First, dial color. Under normal social distance, you won’t notice the color difference between the three. 3K’s dial looks like a light blue, while BBF and DDF’s dials are more of a denim blue. BBF and DDF have a gradient effect – darker near the edge, gradually turning blue toward the center. However, there’s also a slight difference between BBF and DDF: compared to DDF, BBF’s dial is a bit darker.
Date font. 3K has the thinnest date font. DDF’s date font is even thicker than BBF’s.
Hour markers. The hour markers on 3K and DDF have more pronounced, sharper edges, while BBF’s markers have rounder, more polished edges.
Case shape. Since all three use a super clone movement, there’s no difference in case size or thickness. The main difference lies in the shape of the lug – something many people care about whether they have that “eagle beak” shape. After comparing the three, DDF has the most pronounced eagle‑beak lug tip. If that detail matters to you, I recommend DDF.
Movement comparison. All three use the 324 super clone movement. The difference is in the depth of the engravings on the movement plates. 3K still hasn’t improved its movement engravings – they still use laser engraving, so the text on the plates is very shallow. In contrast, BBF and DDF both have very deep engravings.
Conclusion
In terms of stability, no matter which factory you buy from, it’s a good choice. DDF’s dial color and lug shape are more accurate to the genuine watch. However, BBF is about to release a new 330 movement with a hacking seconds feature for this model. At that point, BBF will have an advantage over 3K and DDF. So my suggestion is to buy the BBF version and then spend extra money to modify the lugs, giving them the eagle‑beak shape.
