Omega’s recent surge in popularity owes a great deal to its sponsorship of Bond’s watch in the 007 films. In a sluggish global mechanical watch market, Omega has carved out a niche through its movie-linked marketing. Similarly, in the replica watch market, two Omega 007 models were hugely popular back in the day. The first is the Omega Seamaster 007 Spectre – seven or eight years ago, one out of every three Omega replica watches sold was definitely the 007 Spectre. The second is the Seamaster 007 No Time to Die, which has also been a hit for several years. The watch I’m introducing today is somewhat similar to the No Time to Die, but it’s even bolder – thanks to its green and bronze gold color scheme.
The entire watch is made of titanium. The case diameter is 42mm, and the overall case structure is a 1:1 replica of the genuine article – it’s safe to say the factory obtained an authentic piece for replication. The titanium material makes the watch feel very light, while the combination of bronze gold and green gives it a strong vintage character.
The bezel is titanium with bronze gold plating on the edges, and the green insert is made of aluminum. The lume pearl at 12 o’clock also has a bronze gold rim, and the luminescent material inside provides long-lasting illumination.
This is the latest version on the market, having undergone four rounds of improvements. The movement has also been upgraded to the most stable integrated caliber 8806. The bracelet, previously made of stainless steel, is now titanium, and the mesh bracelet’s links are no longer welded – the entire bracelet is formed as a single piece.
